Makeup in 10 Minutes!
Step 1-Cleaning The Face Before applying your makeup, start with a clean canvas by cleansing, toning and moisturising.
Step 2-Undercover Makeup Gel Undercover gel is similar to a “primer”. It is used to separate your skin from your makeup so your makeup doesn’t sink into your pores and makes your makeup last longer.
Step 3-Foundation Apart from mascara, foundation is the most important part of the makeup process. Be sure to get a colour that suits you when the seasons change and most importantly purchase foundations with (SPF) Sun Protection Factor Sunscreen for the harsh Australian climate. To find a foundation colour suitable to you, test it on your jaw line. Apply your foundation in downward strokes, following the direction of the baby fine hairs on your face. Take particular care about blending around your nose, jaw and hairline. Conceal any blemishes and dark circles blend with your fingers.
Step 4-Eyebrow Eyebrows frame the eyes and should be kept neat, waxed, trimmed and tided at all times. Your eyebrows should be one or two shades darker than your hair colour. Lightly and neatly pencil your eyebrows into their natural shape to give a complete look.
Step 5-Eye Shadow It is good to use a three tone eye shadow and build lid to brow.
1st Use the lightest colour and apply from the crease in your eye (above the eyeball) all the way up to the brow.
2nd Apply your medium colour, sweeping across the lid.
3rd Use a dark colour for definition in the crease and finish off by blending all three colours together to soften the appearance and get rid of any of the loose shadow.
Step 6-Eyeliner Use an eyeliner pencil, it’s easy to use and blend. Start by drawing a line from the outside corner to the middle of your eye keeping as close to the lashes as possible. Followed by the liner of the bottom of the eye, from the outside corner to the middle.
Step 7-Eyelashes/Mascara The sole purpose of this is to make eyelashes look darker, thicker and longer. Apply 2 coats of mascara to your top lashes and one coat to your bottom lashes.
Step 8-Blush Apply your blush- smile and place blush on the apple of your cheek and brush upwards and outward along cheekbone and make sure it is blended. Less is best!
Step 9-Lip Liner Your lip liner colour should be a shade darker than your lipstick colour and should blend nicely. Draw a dot of liner at the two tips and centre of the cupids bow on the upper lip, and at the centre of the lower line of the bottom lip. Join the dots with small, light even strokes.
Step 10- Lip Stick/Gloss Fill your lips in with lipstick making sure not to make a mess and stay inside of your lips. You can then apply gloss for a shiny finish.
